MSC.Software подводит итоги международных конференций Virtual Product Development

MSC.Software Corp. (NASDAQ: MSCS), the leading global provider of enterprise simulation solutions including simulation software and services, today announced the worldwide success of the company's Virtual Product Development Conferences (VPD.) The conferences, held in the United States, Asia Pacific, and Europe drew more than 3,000 attendees and provided the opportunity for MSC.Software customers and the global engineering community to learn more about MSC.Software's revolutionary new enterprise simulation offerings including MD Nastran, and the SimEnterprise product suite - SimDesigner, SimManager and SimXpert. The U.S. conference debuted the company's strategic alliance with IBM that is focused on jointly offering enterprise simulation solutions to meet the growing demand for enterprise based computer-aided engineering (CAE) and analysis in the PLM space.

This year's Virtual Product Development (VPD) Conferences, themed "the evolution to enterprise simulation," were designed to help companies learn how to implement enterprise simulation and to be more competitive by ensuring right-to-market and minimizing time-to-market for products in highly competitive global environments. The recently completed European conference featured a strong showing from global automotive and aerospace leaders. Featured presentations from industry thought leaders and customers included Airbus, Audi, BMW, IBM, Microsoft, and more. Audi's presentation focused on how the company reduced the development time and increased efficiency by using enterprise simulation for the development of the Q7 model. By using MSC.Software's solutions, the company is able to reduce the need for physical prototypes.

"The overwhelming success of this year's VPD conferences is evidenced not only by the number of attendees, but the quality of speakers," said Andrew Meyer, Vice President, Corporate Marketing, MSC.Software. "This year's conferences were marked by milestone product launches including SimManager and SimXpert, as well as by our strategic alliance announcement with IBM. The feedback has been tremendous and is marked by overwhelming customer and analyst enthusiasm for the SimEnterprise value proposition."

About SimXpert
SimXpert, available at this time through the MSC.Software exclusive Empower Program, is an advanced, next-generation multi-disciplinary CAE environment that provides comprehensive depth and functionality to speed system level simulations and allow companies to build, share, and execute best practices for simulation standardization throughout the enterprise. Using SimXpert companies can gain tremendous productivity improvements through the use of expert templates, automation, a multi-discipline common data model, and native CAD interoperability that eliminate the need for data translation. SimXpert leads to significant return on investment by accelerating the speed and accuracy of simulation; automating simulation processes and tasks; capturing knowledge, and radically improving the analysis process and therefore business productivity and innovation.

About SimEnterprise
SimEnterprise, an enterprise simulation development platform that enables computer-aided-engineering (CAE) designers, analysts, managers and the supply chain to interact throughout the design process - in an open systems approach using their preferred development software - to deliver substantial collaboration, data management and process automation benefits. SimEnterprise is a revolutionary technological approach for the industry, and has been created to enhance the way engineering teams can access and work with data, sharing simulation information across the extended enterprise. Providing built-in connectivity to MSC.Software's leading solver technology, including MD Nastran, SimEnterprise solutions allow companies to easily deploy role-based simulation applications and tools -- including existing MSC applications such as SimDesigner and SimManager, and to seamlessly integrate with third party applications and in-house or custom applications - to speed simulation and design processes.
