Samsung Electronics выбирает ANSYS CFX для разработки жестких дисков нового поколения

ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced that Samsung Information Systems America (SISA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., LTD and a world-leading design center of hard disk drives, has chosen ANSYS CFX(R) software as its computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solution of choice. SISA plans to use ANSYS CFX to develop new generation disk drives. Ultimately, by utilizing ANSYS' leading simulation technology, SISA will save time and money on its disk drive design.

"ANSYS is proud to be able to provide industry-leading CFD technology to SISA for this important initiative," said Joseph C. Fairbanks Jr., vice president of global sales and support at ANSYS, Inc. "We worked very closely with Ozen Engineering, Inc., our very capable channel partner in this region. Their knowledge of the SISA requirements and technical expertise together with the capabilities of ANSYS CFX enabled us to provide this solution. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with SISA."

"We have come to respect ANSYS for its superior technology," said Dr. Hyung J. Lee, senior director of HDD Core Technology group at SISA. "And we trust that ANSYS will work with us to better meet our customers' needs. We expect to maximize the benefit of ANSYS CFX to eventually develop more sophisticated hard disk drives."
