ESI Group анонсировала выход новой версии программы акустического анализа AutoSEA2 v2004

ESI Group today released AutoSEA2 version 2004 at the Inter-Noise conference. Part of ESI Group's comprehensive suite of virtual prototyping solutions, AutoSEA2 is a Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) based simulation software that addresses the higher frequency vibration and acoustic response of systems. The 2004 version includes significant new capabilities such as advanced SEA model building capabilities from CAD and finite element models, new load-case management functionality, an innovative sound package modeler, and advanced predictive tools.

"AutoSEA2 was developed around one simple key concept: increase modeling productivity for the many customers who tackle very complex problems and have little time on their hands", says Benjamin Cimerman, Vibro Acoustic Product Manager, ESI Group. "We have learned a lot from our clients and I am confident that we have done a very good job at bringing many of the user requirements and suggestions to life in this new version."

AutoSEA2 2004's new model building and management features allow element-based creation of subsystems from finite elements or CAD models. This functionality significantly reduces the amount of node-picking required to create subsystems and therefore speeds-up the model-building process, helping engineers to create more realistic-looking models. A first step on the road to semi-automatic model building.

The load-case management feature allows engineers to shift quickly and without the risk of error through various operating conditions. It is a key feature in making AutoSEA2 more robust for product design environments.

The new sound package management module is specifically designed for the automotive industry. It allows OEMs and suppliers to compare performance between two or more full-vehicle sound packages with the click of a button, thus dramatically enhancing the value of AutoSEA2 modeling in sound package design.

AutoSEA2's scientific and analysis capabilities are enhanced thanks to a ground-breaking variance prediction module as well as numerous others enhancements such as subdivision of panels, interior point junctions, etc.

The new variance prediction model sheds an entirely new light on statistical modeling. It was developed in response to requirements emanating from the aerospace industry but it will be a powerful tool for all users who want to quantify the confidence that can be applied to simulation results.

ESI Group's Vibro-Acoustic Solutions

Virtual prototyping solutions reduce reliance on costly and time-consuming physical testing, speed up the product development process, and optimize the use of noise and vibration control materials. ESI Group's vibro-acoustic software portfolio includes AutoSEA2; NOVA, a software package dedicated to the design of layered acoustic components, FOAM-X, a data acquisition and processing software for identifying the acoustic properties of poro-elastic materials from impedance tube measurements for both SEA high frequency analysis and low frequency analysis as can be simulated by RAYON. Using both finite element methods and boundary element methods, RAYON is a low-frequency simulation software package for the prediction of the acoustic performance of untrimmed and trimmed structures

About ESI Group

ESI Group is a pioneer and world leading provider of digital simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes that take into account the physics of materials. ESI Group has developed an entire suite of coherent, industry-oriented applications to realistically simulate a product's behavior during testing, to fine tune the manufacturing processes in synergy with the desired product performance, and to evaluate the environment's impact on product usage. ESI Group's product portfolio, which has been industrially validated and combined in multi-trade value chains, represents a unique collaborative, virtual engineering solution, known as the Virtual Try-Out Space (VTOS), enabling a continuous improvement on the virtual prototype. By drastically reducing costs and development lead times, VTOS solutions offer major competitive advantages by progressively eliminating the need for physical prototypes. With revenues close to 49 million euros in fiscal year 2003, ESI Group (Nouveau Marché: Euronext Paris - Software - Euroclear 6584 - Bloomberg ESI FP - Reuters ESIG.LN) employs almost 500 high-level specialists worldwide. The company and its global network of agents provide sales and technical support to customers in more than 30 countries.
