CIMdata называет лидеров рынка CAM систем 2005 года

CIMdata, Inc. names the largest CAM Software vendors for 2005 in its recently released NC Software Market Assessment Report, Version 15. In this annual report, CIMdata also projects the leaders for 2006. For 2005, CIMdata estimates that UGS was the market leader on the basis of revenue received with $123 million of CAM related software and services revenues. This resulted in a 14.6% market share.

Mr. Alan Christman, CIMdata Chairman and primary author of the report, states that, “UGS has been the largest CAM supplier on the basis of revenue received for the past three years and they are projected to maintain that position in 2006. The overall strengths of Unigraphics NX CAM include market presence, industry reputation in CAM, integration from design through manufacturing, breadth and depth of the products, a knowledge-based orientation, and industry leadership provided in mold base design, progressive die design, high-speed machining, and 5-axis machining. The integration under Teamcenter Manufacturing for information management and the inclusion of some of Tecnomatix digital manufacturing capabilities strengthens the UGS CAM position.”

The market share for the 10 largest vendors on the basis of revenues received is shown in the following chart.

Following IBM/Dassault in this ranking are UGS, PTC, Delcam, Hitachi Zosen Systems, Planit Holdings, CNC Software, Missler Software, Tebis, and OPEN MIND Technologies.

The NC Software Market Assessment Report not only ranks the CAM suppliers by revenue categories, but also by seats shipped and installed, growth rate, distribution channels and resources. Further, it sizes the CAM software market, segments the market by geography, industry, and eight other factors; and includes approximately 50 pages devoted to trends in manufacturing, machining and the NC software market and its technology. The report contains 94 charts and is in excess of 200 pages in length.
