ALGOR V19.2 предоставляет пользователям новые FEA возможности

ALGOR, Inc., a leading provider of design, analysis and simulation software, announced that its latest finite element analysis (FEA) software release, ALGOR V19.2, features all-new enhancements for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Mechanical Event Simulation (MES).

New features include the capability to model flow obstacles as distributed resistance parts, which can greatly simplify 3-D modeling; new surface-to-surface contact options (slide/no bounce contact and tied contact) for more realistic simulation and faster solving of MES applications such as a press-fit process; faster, industry-standard sparse solvers for linear dynamic analysis, static stress analysis and MES; and distributed memory processing for 32- and 64-bit Linux (Red Hat) for static stress analysis and MES. These and many more new V19.2 features provide ALGOR users with increased power, flexibility and ease-of-use for simulating engineering analyses of their product designs.

"V19.2's modeling, meshing and solver enhancements provide significant speed and productivity gains – especially in the area of CFD," said Jim Wheeler, Manager of Mechanical Design of RBI Canada 2000 Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. "I meshed and analyzed a complex, highly turbulent 3-D fluid flow model that I had originally studied using a previous version of ALGOR software. With V19.2, setup and solution time was three times faster."

"ALGOR V19.2's new temperature-dependent anisotropic material properties allow us, for the first time, to evaluate thermally-induced stresses in resonant structures made with piezoelectric materials," said Dr. Errol P. EerNisse, Vice President of Quartzdyne, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah. "Furthermore, the addition of user-defined functions in Superview gives us the opportunity to more accurately calculate and evaluate several important characteristics of our sensors. Two examples are stress-induced frequency shifts and internal energy changes in our resonators in the presence of applied pressure and temperature."

"V19.2 provides our customers with many new and improved tools for increased ease of use, productivity and advanced analysis applications," said ALGOR Product Manager, Bob Williams. "Looking ahead, our upcoming V20 software release will be a major update, which will feature a new overall look and feel to FEMPRO, our easy-to-use, single user interface. V20 will also include extensive additions to our modeling, meshing, analysis and presentation tools as well as many other enhancements based on customer requests."

ALGOR V19.2 also includes:
