ADA и Altair Engineering разработают CAE систему для авиакосмической промышленности

ADA (Aeronautical Development Agency) Bangalore, and Altair Engineering India announces a collaborative agreement to build and market the new generation CAE solution for the Aerospace industry in India.

The formal launch of this collaboration will be announced at Altair Engineering's 2nd Annual CAE Users Conference, scheduled to be held in Bangalore between August 3-5, 2006 at The Leela Palace. The conference will experience a record of over 700 engineers from all over India who will attend and share case studies on use of Virtual Prototyping & Simulation and Prototyping in the Product Development Process.

The agreement involves product development to establish Altair HyperMesh as a Pre and Post processing option for the FINESSE solver. This will provide the FINESSE user capabilities to access CAD geometry and efficiently and quickly generate the automated FE mesh, apply the boundary conditions to subsequently solve the FINESSE deck using embedded resource management tools and view the results using HyperView.

"Altair HyperWorks open architecture set of tools are a good complement to an Indian home grown solver FINESSE. The HyperMesh-FINESSE Solver will enable aerospace designers and engineers to efficiently model and study complex aerospace structures and assemblies and enhance design performance" says Dr. R. K. Ramanathan, Project Director (Technology Development) & Program Director (National Program on Smart Materials) at ADA. "Altair Engineering India's local development Centre in Bangalore will enable close interaction between our development team and our users to enhance and deliver enhanced Aerospace related CAE solutions".

"Altair's position as an engineering company that also does software development allows us to immerse ourselves in the same solution process as our customers. As is our philosophy, we continue building partnering relationships with customers like ADA, developing innovative solutions for our customers design challenges" says Pavan Kumar, Managing Director, Altair Engineering India-ASEAN. "ADA's FINESSE is a popular and proven solver in the Aerospace/Defense industry. HyperWorks/FINESSE solutions will help capture technological advances of both our products enabling drastic reduction in physical testing through the automation and integration of design-driven-by-simulation technology."

About Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA)

ADA, Bangalore, is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Defense, constituted for design and development of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-TEJAS. One of the technology spin-off from the LCA is FINESSE, developed in-house at ADA. FINESSE (Finite Element Structural Synthesis Expert) is a general purpose finite element analysis solver. FINESSE has the modules of Statics, free vibrations, forced response analysis, linear buckling analysis, thermal analysis, dynamic aero servo elasticity and optimization.
