UGS объявила победителей конкурса CAD-моделей Q2 2005 Solid Edge(r)

UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced the winners of its Q2 2005 Solid Edge(r) computer-aided design (CAD) contest.

Winning products were designed and rendered using Solid Edge(r) technology. Top honors include a 30,000+ part steel rolling mill from France; a performance battery from Asia; and a towing wrecker from the Americas. VAI Clecim's steel rolling mill can be seen on the cover of Desktop Engineering's July 2005 issue.

"The designs and images submitted through our Design Contest are truly remarkable," said Adrian Scholes, director, Solid Edge Product Marketing. "We are proud to showcase our customers' products in everything we do. It is a testament to the power of Solid Edge and to the creativity of the design teams that use it for an image to be recognized and awarded the cover of one of the leading PLM trade publications."

The Solid Edge contest highlights excellence in mechanical engineering and is open to designers working on one of more than 200,000 Solid Edge seats deployed around the world. The contest promotes mechanical design excellence by users of 3D solid modeling technology.

Each winner receives a SpaceBall(r) 5000 motion controller from Solid Edge Voyager Program member 3Dconnexion, a Logitech company. To see the winning images and contest details, visit www.solidedge.com/successes/design.contest.htm
